windows 7 product id key 00371 OEM 8992671 00524 of product key activation

Each new version of Windows comes with a product ID. This is a series of 25-26 letters and numbers which is used to specify the individual license set on your computer, and it appears when you start up your computer for the first time. This post talks about what the product ID means, how to find it, and then some basic information that may be helpful in getting your computer back up and running. The Windows 7 product ID is unique for each set of license keys that are installed on the same computer. This ID is used in conjunction with the Volume License activation mechanism to manage the licensing system for multiple computers. The Volume License mechanism allows a single Windows install disk to be used for multiple installations. Your product key which you entered at installation time should have been checked against an internal database record at Microsoft to determine if you are entitled to use this particular version of windows. After this, if successful, it should have then created an offline record on your computer that was encrypted using a symmetric key algorithm based on your machine's hardware configuration - The core components being the motherboard serial number, hard drive serial number and processor ID. This information is only held locally on your computer, and is an integral part of the Volume Licensing system. When your key was entered incorrectly, the Windows Activation process may have detected this immediately, or it may have happened at some time after activation when Microsoft ran one of their routine checks. If this check fails, it does not mean that you are no longer able to use Windows - there are many other reasons for having to re-activate Windows. If you are re-activating your PC because you somehow lost the key that was keyed in at the time of setting up Windows 7 installation, then follow this link regarding how to restore your original product key if required. If your key is correct, you should see the following message after hard resetting your PC - "Windows Activation is not required" or similar. The product ID is determined by the computer's hardware configuration, and can be obtained in one of two ways, both of which are documented below. The product ID only affects the correct functioning of Windows 7. If there are other Windows installed on your PC, e.g. XP or Vista, which are not licensed for use with Windows 7, the product IDs will still be different - there will still be a separate license to activate each installation of Windows on your machine. If your current version of Windows is 32 bit, the product key will be in this format: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx If your current version of Windows is 64 bit, the product key will be in this format: xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx (Note: These steps HAVE to be done on one particular partition that you are replacing - in order for it to work) The information in this post is intended for advanced users only. This information has not been verified by Microsoft, and may contain errors. Any questions about product IDs should be directed to Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935955). eccc085e13
